Financial Fitness: The Sandwich Generation in the Time of COVID

Financial Fitness 2020

Many of us find ourselves in the role of caretaker and financial manager of our family.  Often this means making good financial decisions for ourselves, our families and our parents; three generations in one.  This presentation will frame the needs of all three and how to manage our financial health.

Elizabeth Lockette is a Senior Vice President in Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley and brings nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry to our clients. She and her team focus on wealth management for multi-generational families. As a team, they take the time to get to know the families they work with in depth in order to become a member of the family’s trusted advisors.

Liz carries the designation of Sports & Entertainment Director. She is part of a small group within Morgan Stanley focused on the unique financial needs of this community. Although Liz works with a broad spectrum of successful clients in the sports and entertainment industries, her area is focused around multi-generational wealth planning for families of top professionals in sports and entertainment production and management.

Heather McPhie Watanabe is a Sports and Entertainment Associate and Financial Advisor in Wealth Management at Morgan Stanley, with clients across the United States. Heather is passionate about the world of finance and has had her hand in the arena since she began doing the bookkeeping and payroll for McPhie Cabinetry at the age of 16. She remained in that position for 12 years while pursuing international endeavors in the athletic realm as well. She loves helping her clients create a plan for long-term financial health, with the goal that they can spend more time pursuing their own passions.

Prior to joining the Morgan Stanley team, Heather was a 10 year member of the United States Freestyle Ski Team and represented the United States of America in both the Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Career highlights include: Two National Championship Titles (2012, 2013), 3 overall World Cup Grand Prix podium finishes, and 15 World Cup podiums. She is the first and only mogul skier to be sponsored by Red Bull. The discipline, dedication, and unwavering drive to pursue excellence in all she chooses to do are skills Heather acquired as an elite athlete, which she brings to her clients and to the team.
